Three new K9’s were sworn in as deputies of the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office by Sheriff David Davis on Tuesday afternoon. K9’s Kenzo, Athena and Nala were sworn in at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center just after 3:00 p.m. Thursday afternoon. All of the K9’s have been through extensive training with their handlers and are ready to begin their new jobs.

K9 Kenzo is Deputy Josh Sanderson’s partner and Kenzo is a Narcotics Detection K9. K9 Nala is Deputy Travis Carlisle’s partner and Nala is also a Narcotics Detection K9. K9 Athena is Deputy Kevin Irwin’s partner and Athena is an Explosives Detection  K9.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office thanks the Georgia Emergency Management Agency and Bibb County Law Enforcement Foundation for their assistance with the new K9’s.
