Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Unit deputies and S.R.T. Unit deputies arrested a Macon man and are looking for two more men, for Criminal Attempt to Commit Theft of an ATM just before 03:30 a.m. at the Bank OZK, located at 1701 Bass Road.

Deputies were dispatched to the Bank OZK on Bass Road regarding three subjects using a Ford F-150 to try to take the ATM. When deputies arrived on the scene the subjects fled in the truck. After a short chase, the subjects jumped out of the truck and ran away on foot. Deputies were able to detain one subject, 35-year-old Antuane Mcquell Simmons. It was determined that the truck had been reported stolen.

Simmons is being charged with Criminal Attempt to Commit Theft, Theft by Receiving Stolen Property, Fleeing and Eluding, and Obstruction.

Deputies are still attempting to identify and locate the other two subjects. There is no video or pictures of the subjects currently.
