A Macon man is behind bars accused of stealing store merchandise and threatening to shoot employees, all while he was wanted on an Aggravated Assault warrant.

Just after 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a male subject in Academy Sports, at 1689 Eisenhower Parkway, that was taking ammunition and hiding it on his person. While deputies were en route to the location, they were notified that the subject had confronted employees and threatened to shoot them. When deputies arrived, they were able to take the subject into custody without incident. The subject had store merchandise on his person along with a gun when he was detained. The subject was identified as 21-year-old Tandre Travon Johnson, of Macon.

Johnson was taken to the Bibb County jail and charged with Robbery by Intimidation, Terroristic Threats, Theft by Shoplifting, and Criminal Trespass. He also had a warrant for four counts of Aggravated Assault involving an unrelated case which was served. Johnson is being held without bond currently.
