The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an attempted commercial armed robbery that took place just before 11:00A.M this morning at the Bank of America, located at 3930 Pio Nono Avenue. It was reported that 40 year old Anthony Tremayne Wilson approached the clerk and gave her a note stating that he had gun and demanding money.
Bibb County Patrol Deputies responded to the location after receiving a call that the banks alarm had been activated. Deputies arrived within minutes of the alarm and were able to take Wilson into custody without incident. Wilson was transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division to be questioned. No one was injured during this incident. Wilson is charged with criminal attempt to commit armed robbery. He will be transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.
