The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an Attempted Personal Armed Robbery by force that occurred just before 3:40am, Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at 2400 Riverside Drive, Best Western Riverside Inn. It was reported that 61 year old David Lord of Macon was parking his vehicle in the parking lot of the hotel when he was approached by a tall slender black male. Witnesses stated that the suspect demanded money from Lord. When Mr. Lord refused the suspect hit Mr. Lord about the head with a foreign object. The suspect fled the scene.
Lord was transported to a local hospital for treatment by family. Mr. Lord sustained serious head injuries and is listed in critical condition.
