The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an attempted commercial armed robbery that took place just after 8:00 p.m. at the Family Dollar, located at 160 Emery Highway.
It was reported that a male subject, wearing all black with a mask, entered the store brandishing a firearm. He demanded money from the clerk. After the not receiving any cash, he fled the store on foot. No one was injured during this incident.
