The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of an attempted armed robbery that took place just before 01:00A.M on Saturday morning, at the Tom’s Mart located at 4381 Mercer University Dr. It was reported that the Employees were locking up the store when they noticed a male subject in dark clothes with a handgun running towards them. The Employees began running towards their cars and that is when the suspect fired several shots at them. The owner of the store 64yr old Yong Kim of Macon who was in his car in the parking lot got out and fired multiple shots into the air and the suspect ran off on foot. No one was injured during the incident, but several cars had damage to the windows. There is not further information on the suspect.
