Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating a collision where a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Hawkinsville Road near Allen Road.
The collision was called into the Macon-Bibb 911 Center just before 4:00 a.m. on July 18, 2023. It was reported that a pickup truck was traveling south on Hawkinsville Road when a collision occurred with a male pedestrian walking on the road. The pedestrian was transported by ambulance to Atrium Health Navicent, where he is listed to be in critical condition. No one else was injured during this collision.
The pedestrian has not been identified. He is described as a black male, a slender build, five-foot-eight to five-foot-nine in height, he is bald, has gray stubble, and is between the age range of late forties to mid-fifties.
