Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in helping to locate a male suspect, wanted for Armed Robbery and Aggravated Assault in a case that happened on June 10, 2019.
It was reported that 18-year-old Jaylan Dumas, of Macon, made contact with a male suspect that was selling an I-phone X on Facebook Market Place. Dumas met with the suspect in front of a residence in the 5400 block of Finsbury Road. When Dumas exchanged the money for the phone he realized that it was an older LG phone, not an I-phone. The suspect then started running away and when Dumas began chasing him, the suspect fired multiple shots at him with a pistol.
The suspect was later identified as 18-year-old Aaron Alexander Chambliss, of Macon. He is described as being six foot tall, weighing approximately one hundred sixty-five pounds. He has short hair and a mustache and light complexion. He is known to frequent the Bloomfield Road and Rocky Creek Road area. Warrants for Armed Robbery, Aggravated Assault and Violation of Probation have been signed for Chambliss’ arrest.
