Bibb County Sheriff’s Office property investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in a commercial burglary of a Pawn Shop. The incident occurred in the early morning hours on April 5, 2023.
It was reported that two masked individuals broke into the Howard’s Pawn and Jewelry, located at 3171 Mercer University Drive. The burglars entered the business through a large hole that was made through a brick wall. Bibb Sheriff’s Office property investigators and members of the Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms are currently working together and investigating the burglary incident. Over the weekend investigators received an inventory list from Howard’s Pawn & Jewelry that identified that the burglars took approximately sixty firearms during this incident.
