Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in helping identify and locate a person of interest in connection with the Aggravated Assault that took place at the Murphy’s USA, located at 1402 Gray Highway, on Saturday.
The person of interest is described as a black male, wearing a white t-shirt, gray shorts, and white tennis shoes. The male was also wearing a black head covering. He was last seen driving a maroon colored Lincoln Town car with a beige vinyl roof.

Aggravated Assault Investigation
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an aggravated assault at the Murphy’s gas station, located at 1402 Gray Highway. The incident occurred at around 3:15 a.m., Saturday.
It was reported that two male individuals entered the gas station and began to argue. During the altercation, one of the males brandished a handgun and shot the other male. The victim, 33-year-old Jonathon Billingslea was transported to the Atrium Health Navicent, by ambulance, and is listed to be in critical, but stable condition. No one else was injured during this incident.
This incident is under investigation. Additional information will be released as soon as it becomes available.
