The Bibb Sheriff’s Office is investigating an Armed Robbery that happened in the parking lot of the Walmart at 5955 Zebulon Rd at 03:30pm. It was reported that 40yr old Laquesta Mitchell of Macon was at her car when a black male approached her. The suspect had a handgun and demanded money from Mitchell. After getting an undisclosed amount of money from Mitchell the suspect left in a red four door vehicle. No one was injured in the incident.
The same suspect is also wanted in reference to another Armed Robbery that happened at 07:30pm in the parking lot of the Kroger Shopping Center at 4321 Hartley Bridge Rd. The suspect approached 27yr old Angelique Shepard of Nework Delaware while she was walking to her car. The suspect pulled up beside her and point a handgun towards her and demanded her purse. After getting the purse the suspect drove off in a red car. No one was injured in this incident either.
The suspect was described by both victims as being above six feet tall, over three hundred pounds, wearing a white t-shirt and blue jean shorts. He also had a beard and a small afro. Pictures of the suspect from the Walmart incident are attached.
