Bibb County Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies responded to a call of a burglary occurring at 6121 Riggins Mill Road just before 1:00PM, Monday, September 1, 2015. When deputies arrived at the residence, a relative of the homeowner had detained one of the burglary suspects, a white male later identified as 26 year old Justin Stanton of Macon. Stanton was caught coming out of the rear of the home. Deputies went into the home to check for other possible suspects. They found a white female inside the home also. She was identified as 37 year old Veronica Martin of Macon. Deputies also found a 2000 white Mercedes listed to Martin, near the wood line in the backyard of the house. The vehicle had several items on the trunk that came from the house. Both Stanton and Martin were placed under arrest and transported to the Bibb Sheriff’s Property Investigations Office. Justin Stanton and Veronica Martin were charged with burglary and transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Complex. Martin has a bond of $8,450.00. Stanton does not have a bond set. This incident is currently under investigation.
