Arrests Made In Cruelty to Animals Investigation
Bibb County Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies responded to 1335 Bonner Gilbert Road at around 4:15PM Wednesday at the request of Macon-Bibb Animal Welfare Officers. It was reported that Animal Welfare received a call earlier today in reference to checking on two horses that were possibly being neglected.
When deputies arrived to the address they learned that there were two horses that were in very bad health. A veterinarian was also called by Animal Welfare to check the horses. It was determined that one was in such poor health that it may not survive. Both animals were taken by Animal Welfare.
Arrested at the residence were 43 year old Patricia Forster, who lives at the address and 17 year old Lori Burlison of Macon. Burlison was keeping her horse at the Bonner Gilbert Road address. They were both transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center. Forster is charged with misdemeanor cruelty to animals. She has a bond amount of $650.00. Burlison is charged with felony cruelty to animals. She has a bond amount of $5,700.00.
