Bibb County Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies responded to the 5000 block of Nesbit Drive at around 8:50AM this morning to a residence in reference to a possible abduction. It was reported that two black males entered the home on Nesbit Drive and took an 11 year old girl from the residence. The suspects were seen traveling in a gray Chrysler 300. When deputies arrived they found 40 year old Sylvester Harden Jr. had been hit in the head several times. Harden lives at the house. The 11 year old girl and her father, who is a relative of Harden, were staying at the house. The father of the child was also at the house at the time the incident occurred but ran out of the back of the house.  A lookout was immediately placed on the vehicle, suspects and child. It was discovered that a female who is a relative of the child had drove the two male suspects to the house and waited in the vehicle. After the juvenile female was taken from the house the cousin drove to meet with the child’s grandmother. Both the child and the cousin stayed with the grandmother while the two male suspects left in the vehicle.

While deputies were at the house on Nesbitt Drive the child was returned to the house accompanied by her grandmother and the cousin that had assisted in taking her from the house. The cousin was identified as 25 year old Yolanda Butler. She was taken into custody and transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigative Division. Deputies also spotted the suspect vehicle on Mercer University Drive at the Pinewood Park Apartment complex located at 4755 Mercer University Drive. The two male suspects were also with the vehicle. They were transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigative Division for questioning. They were identified as 23 year old Seymour Passard of Macon and 22 year old Ceyunta Cater of Macon.

Harden was beat in the head with a gun by one of the male suspects and the gun discharged. There were 4 other juveniles in the house when the incident occurred. No one was hit by the stray bullet. Cater, Passard and Butler are charged with 5 counts of aggravated assault.  Passard was also charged with a probation violation. No bond has been set.
