Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies received information this morning after arriving at the scene of a suspect involved in the stabbing of Famous Bryant. It was reported that a friend of Bryant was with him when they arrived at the home at 1021 Norris Street. The home is not Bryant’s residence as reported earlier, but is the residence of a relative. When Bryant arrived at the residence with the friend, Bryant discovered the suspect, 23 year old David Brown, sleeping in a vehicle parked at the home at 1021 Norris Street. Bryant confronted Brown and told him to leave. It was reported that Brown had been told several times before to stay off of the property. Brown pulled out a knife and began swinging it, stabbing Bryant. Bryant’s friend went to the back door and knocked on the door of the residence and told the occupants in the house what had occurred.
Deputies and investigators searched the area for Brown and located him a short time later in the 1200 block of Boone Street. Brown was detained and transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigative Division for questioning. David Brown has been charged with the murder of Famous Bryant. He was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center and booked on the charge of murder. He also has a separate violation of probation charge. No bond has been set for Brown at this time.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500, or Macon Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
