The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide that occurred at 4709 Chambers Road Econo Lodge Inn & Suites room 240 at 09:54 a.m.
Deputies responded to the motel in regards to a person shot. When deputies arrived they found, 37-year-old Ashley Wease, of Eatonton, unresponsive with gunshot wounds to the upper body. The victim was pronounced deceased on the scene. The next of kin has not been notified.
Deputies detained a person of interest, 28-year-old Jerome Christopher Miller, of Macon, just minutes after at the corner of Eisenhower Parkway and Presidential Parkway. He was taken to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigations office for questioning. No one else was injured during the incident.
Miller was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Murder. He is being held without bond at this time.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide that occurred at 4709 Chambers Road Econo Lodge Inn & Suites room 240 at 09:54 a.m.
Deputies responded to the motel in regard to a person shot. When deputies arrived they found a 37-year-old female unresponsive with gunshot wounds to the upper body. The victim was pronounced deceased on the scene. The next of kin has not been notified.
Deputies detained a person of interest just minutes after at the corner of Eisenhower Parkway and Presidential Parkway. He was taken to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigations office for questioning. No one else was injured during the incident. More information will be released as it becomes available.
