Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators arrested 17 year old Shannon Dominique Robello, of Macon, on Thursday afternoon at around 5:30PM.  Robello was involved in a shooting incident that occurred on Monday, December 14, 2015 at a home on Chatham Street. Robello is currently in the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center charged with aggravated assault. He has a bond of $16,700.00.

Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call of a person shot at 1022 Chatham Street just before 2:00PM Monday afternoon. The victim, 38 year old James Christopher Smith, of Macon, had been taken to the Navicent Health Center by a third party. Smith was treated for the injury which was non-life threatening.

It was reported that Smith went to the address on Chatham Street to see his infant child. The mother of the baby asked Smith not to pick the baby up because the baby was sleeping. Smith became angry and left the location. As Smith was walking down Chatham Street he encountered another male, later identified as Shannon Robello. Robello is the boyfriend of the mother of the baby. Smith and Robello had some type of verbal altercation and Robello shot Smith.
