Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators make an arrest in the shooting incident that occurred at the Loaves and Fishes Ministry, located at 651 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. The incident took place at 1:54 p.m.

It was reported that 45-year-old Carlos Antonio Gordon and 30-year-old John Paul Sewell were involved in an altercation that resulted in Swell shooting Gordon. Gordon was transported to the Atrium Health Navicent by ambulance, where he was later pronounced deceased. The next of kin was notified by the coroner’s office.

Swell was transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division, to be interviewed. After the interview Swell was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center, and charged with felony murder, and aggravated assault. Swell is being held without a bond at this time.

Person Shot Investigation

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident that occurred at the Loaves and Fishes Ministry, located at 651 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. The incident took place at 1:54 p.m.

It was reported that two male individuals were involved in the incident. One of the males was shot during the altercation. The injured male was transported to the Atrium Health Navicent by ambulance, where he was later pronounced deceased. The name of the deceased cannot be released until the next of kin has been notified.

The second male involved in the incident has been transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division, to be interviewed. This incident is under investigation. Additional information will be released as soon as it becomes available.
