The United States Marshal’s Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators arrested 47 year old William Pounds III in the shooting and murder of 46 year old Kendra Jackson. Pounds was taken into custody at around 2:00PM today at Robins Air Force Base without incident.
On June 12, 2015 Bibb Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 571 Bel Meade Place in reference to a report of a person shot. It was reported that Pounds told deputies that he and Ms. Jackson got into a verbal altercation over relationship issues. Pounds said that Ms. Jackson picked up a gun and pointed it towards herself. Pounds said he attempted to take the gun from her, but it was too late. Ms. Jackson was found by deputies with a gunshot wound to her head.
The incident has been under investigation by Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators. On Friday, August 14, 2015 investigators took out a warrant for murder on Pounds. He was transported back to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division to meet with investigators. He will be transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Complex and booked on the charge of Murder.
