Bibb County Investigators along with the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested 26-year-old Noel Latonia Adams and 54-year-old Frank James Tolbert  for the murder of 23-year-old Eric Broomfield of Macon. 

It was reported that a CrimeStoppers tip was received about the two being involved in the murder of Broomfield. Members of the Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force made contact with Adams at a home on Brentwood Drive and made contact with Tolbert at a home in the 1200 block of Winton Avenue. Both suspects were transported to investigation and interviewed. 

After the interview they were both transported to the Bibb Law Enforcement Center where they were both charged with Murder and currently have no bond.

Homicide Investigation On Winton Ave

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death that was reported in the 1200 block of Winton Avenue. The incident was called in at 7:40 a.m Sunday morning. 

It was reported that a call of a person down came into the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office call center. When deputies arrived on scene they found a male dead from a gunshot wound inside a vehicle. The male was later identified as 23-year-old Eric Broomfield of Macon. Investigators are continuing to investigate this incident in an attempt to determine the events surrounding this incident. 

The next of kin was notified by Coroner Leon Jones.  Additional information will be released as soon as it becomes available.
