Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators, with the assistance of the United States Postal Inspection Service, made an arrest in a forgery incident from August 14, 2020.

It was reported that investigators executed a search warrant at 105 Holiday Inn Drive, Clarion Inn.  During the search, mail and several stolen checks from a local veterinarian office were recovered from the room. Also discovered in the room was crystal meth and drug related objects.

The suspects taken into custody are 31-year-old Laura Michelle Lamey, of Macon and 38-year-old Jesse Jade Okeefe, of Lizella. Both Lamey and Okeefe were transported to the Bibb County Investigation Office to be interviewed.  After being interviewed, they were transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center and booked on charges.

Lamey was booked on charges of Forgery, Printing/Executing/ Negotiating Fictitious Checks, Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Related Objects. Her bond is set at $23,665.00.

Okeefe was charged with Possession of Drug Related Objects and Possession of a Controlled Substance within One Thousand Feet of a School. His bond is set at $10,265.00.
