On Tuesday, May 17, 2016 just after 10:00 a.m., the Bibb County Sheriff’s Financial Crimes Unit arrested 26 year old Keshia Michelle Gibson, from Macon, for 10 counts of Financial Transaction Card Fraud, 1 count of Abuse, Neglect, or Exploitation of an Elderly Person and 2 counts of Financial Identity Fraud. She is currently being held in the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center with a bond of $14,500.00.

During the investigation it was discovered that Gibson took and later used the financial transaction card of the elderly female victim involved. It was also discovered that Gibson gained access and possession of the victim’s financial transaction card while employed at a local assisted living home, where the victim was a resident.

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Financial Crimes Investigators served a search warrant on a room at the Palm Tree Hotel, located at 2690 Riverside Drive on Tuesday. Gibson was present at the time investigators served the warrant. During the search investigators recovered the stolen card and items purchased with the stolen card. Also recovered was evidence of theft of financial and personal information of other residents.
