Bibb County investigators arrested Quindray Jamaal Threatt for the Murder of Michael Lafayett Whitaker Jr.  that occurred February 10, 2020, at 572 Concord Street.

Warrants were issued for Threatt after further evidence in this case was gathered. Threatt was taken into custody in Houston County during a traffic stop.

Threatt was transported to the Bibb Law Enforcement Center where he was booked on charges for Murder and Criminal Trespass on an unrelated charge.

Threatt does not have a bond at this time.

Fatal Shooting Investigation on Concord Street

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting that took place at 572 Concord Street. The incident took place at around 6:23p.m.

This incident is in its early stages of the investigation. Investigators are currently collecting evidence and speaking with possible witnesses to determine the events that led to the shooting. Additional information will be released when it becomes available. 

The victim, 45-year-old Michael Lafayett Whitaker Jr., of Macon, was transported to the hospital by ambulance, where he later died.

According to Coroner Leon Jones, the next of kin has been notified.
