Bibb Sheriff’s Investigators along with the U.S. Marshal’s Southeastern Regional Fugitive Task Force received information on the whereabouts of a suspect they were looking for in connection with the homicide of 23 year old Jarvis West. West was fatally shot on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at the Pine Ridge Apartments located at 1960 Clinton Road.
Investigators and U.S. Marshals went to an address on Madden Avenue on Tuesday, December 22nd at around 1:00PM. The suspect, 23 year old Shavez Flewellen, was spotted walking near the location they were checking. Flewellen saw the deputies and marshals and ran away from the area. A short time later, Flewellen turned himself in to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office. He was questioned by investigators before being transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center. He is charged with felony murder and aggravated assault. He also has a probation violation charge. No bond has been set for Flewellen.
