Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a Macon man in connection to the October 8, 2022 death of 56-year-old Tommy Williams, in the 1400 block of Bailey Avenue.

Just after 2:00 p.m. patrol deputies spotted 24-year-old Brandon Niadrian Neal at a residence in the 3100 block of Napier Avenue. When deputies approached the residence, Neal had already entered the house. Deputies searched the home and located Neal. He was taken into custody without incident. Neal was transported to the Bibb County jail and charged with Involuntary Manslaughter. He is being held without bond at this time.

Neal’s mother, Tamona Latrell Howard, was also taken into custody without incident for Hindering Apprehension or Punishment of a Criminal. She is being held without bond at this time.

Update: Death Investigation on Bailey Avenue

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident that happened in the 1400 block of Bailey Avenue, at 6:48pm, Saturday.

Deputies responded to a call of a domestic situation at an address near the 1400 block of Bailey Avenue. While en route to the address deputies were informed of another call of a second person shot in the 3100 block of Napier Avenue. Upon arrival deputies found a male subject at each location suffering from gunshot wounds. Both men were transported to the hospital where the victim, 56-year-old Tommy Williams, died from his injuries. The second victim, 24-year-old Brandon Neal, is listed in stable condition. Investigators have learned that this is one incident. The incident originally occurred on Bailey Avenue. One of the victims was transported from Bailey Avenue and the second victim was transported from Napier Avenue.

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigators are still determining what lead up to the shooting. No one else was injured during this incident. The next of kin has been notified according to Coroner Leon Jones.
