Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies apprehend a person of interest in connection with a Fatal Traffic Collision. The collision occurred on Riggins Mill Road near Herbert Smart Downtown Airport on July 30, 2023, at 12:39 a.m.
On November 19, 2023, thirty-one-year-old Caleb Levi Hendrix of Macon was taken into custody just before 5:00 p.m., Sunday evening. Caleb Hendrix was wanted in Bibb County for Homicide by Vehicle, Driving Under the Influence (Drugs), Driving on the Wrong Side of the Roadway, and Superior Court Violation of Probation (Burglary Second Degree).
Caleb Levi Hendrix is in custody at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center. He currently does not have a bond.

Fatal Traffic Accident on Riggins Mill Road
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal traffic accident that occurred on Riggins Mill Road near Herbert Smart Downtown Airport. The accident was called into the Macon-Bibb E-911 Center at 12:39 a.m., Sunday.
It was reported that a Chevrolet Silverado collided with a motorcycle. The motorcyclist, later identified as 48-year-old Michael Burnett of Macon, was pronounced deceased on scene by Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley. The driver of the vehicle was not injured. The next of kin has been notified.
This accident is under investigation. Additional information will be released as soon as it becomes available.
