The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit arrested an individual for drugs and firearm possession on April 24, 2023. Bibb County Sheriff’s Office drug investigators followed up on a complaint of a residence located in the 500 block of Ivy Brook Way.

While conducting surveillance of the residence, investigators detected drug activity on the premises. Investigators approached the residence and knocked on the door. Contact was made with occupants inside the residence. A strong odor of marijuana was emitting from the residence. Investigators secured a search warrant for the residence.

Upon executing the search warrant, investigators discovered nearly 20 pounds of marijuana, over 700 grams of THC products, 45 grams of ecstasy, and several grams of suspected cocaine. Investigators also discovered a Mini-Draco AK pistol and a FN 5.7 handgun. Also discovered in the residence was a large sum of U.S. currency.

The individual in possession of the drugs and firearms was identified as 31-year-old Sabian Sharod James of Macon. Sabian James was taken into custody. He was then transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.

Sabian Sharod James was charged with multiple counts of Trafficking Narcotics, Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule One and Two Narcotics, and Possession of a Firearm during Commission of a Felony. He is currently being held without a bond.
