On December 1, 2023, just before 2:00 p.m., Friday, twenty-seven-year-old Keenan Devonte Andrews was apprehended by the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Task Force and the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Unit. Andrews, of Macon, was taken into custody from a residence within the 1500 block of Williamson Road. Keenan Devonte Andrews was wanted in Bibb County in connection with the death of thirty-four-year-old Jerry Lewis Burke on August 30, 2023. He was also wanted in Bibb County on several other warrants, including Superior Court Probation Violation: Robbery, Simple Battery, and multiple counts of Cruelty to Children.
Keenan Andrews was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center where he faces a charge of Murder. He does not have a bond.

Asking for the Public’s Assistance in Locating a Person of Interest
Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in helping to locate a person of interest, wanted for questioning in a death investigation.
Investigators are trying to locate 27-year-old Keenan Devonte Andrews, of Macon. Andrews is a person of interest in the shooting death of 34-year-old Jerry Lewis Burke.
Andrews is five feet and eleven inches tall and weighs approximately one hundred and eighty pounds. Andrews was last seen driving a gold Ford Crown Victoria. The vehicle no longer has the push bumper, as shown in the photograph.

Death Investigation on Pio Nono Avenue
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred near the 4300 block of Pio Nono Avenue.
On August 30, 2023, at 2:17 p.m., deputies responded to Circle K located at 4314 Pio Nono Avenue regarding a person shot. Deputies arrived on the scene at 2:19 p.m. and found 34-year-old Jerry Lewis Burke, of Macon, unresponsive with a gunshot wound. Deputies immediately rendered aid to Burke, but he succumbed to his injury. Burke was pronounced deceased on scene by Deputy Coroner Luanne Stone. The next of kin has been notified. No one else was injured during the incident.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.
