Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies make an arrest in connection with a commercial robbery that took place on October 27, 2023, just after 10:00 a.m., at Texaco, located at 1212 Eisenhower Parkway.
It was reported that a male suspect forced his way past a store clerk to a cash register. After taking an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled the store in a silver Cadillac Escalade. The suspect was described as a black male wearing a black cap, black Nike jacket, black pants, and white sneakers. No one was harmed during this incident.
Upon further investigation, patrol deputies located the vehicle at a residence within the 5000 block of Storey Drive. Investigators executed a search warrant on the residence. An investigator found forty-year-old Darious Alexander Mims of Macon, the suspect, hiding in an air duct. Darious Mims was apprehended and transported to Investigation Headquarters.
Darious Alexander Mims was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center. Mims faces a charge of Robbery and Felony Probation Violation. Mims currently does not have a bond.
