Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators  along with Warner Robins, Twiggs County, U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, and the U.S Postal Inspectors, in a joint effort served arrest warrants on two  male suspects  in connection to the Commercial Armed Robbery that took place at the U.S Postal Office located at 1040 Pio Nono Ave. on November 29, 2019.

It was reported that after jointly verifying several leads, 19-year- old Roy Ford Jr. and 36-year-old Alvin Dunn, of Macon  were detained by members of the U.S Marshals SRFTF, at a local gas station and the other at a local business,  just before 12:00 p.m. noon.  Ford and Dunn were taken into custody without incident and transported to Criminal  Investigations to be interviewed. After being interviewed both were transported to the Bibb Law Enforcement Center.  

Ford was charged with Armed Robbery, Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and a previous charge of  theft by taking.

Dunn was charged with Armed Robbery, Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.  

They both are being held without bond at this time.

Commercial Armed Robbery Investigation

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a commercial armed robbery that took place at the United States Post Office, located at 1040 Pio Nono Avenue. It was reported that two masked males entered the post office at around 1:15 p.m. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded money from the clerk. When the suspects received an undisclosed amount of cash, they fled the scene. The suspects ran behind the post office, headed towards Patterson Street. Witnesses stated that they saw the suspects get into a red colored Honda, with a “drive-out” tag. The suspects fled the area in an unknown direction.  No one was injured during this incident.

Both suspects were described as being black males. Both suspects were last seen wearing dark colored, hooded sweat shirts and they hadbandanna’s covering their faces.  * Photographs of the suspects are attached to this media release…
