Macon Regional Crimestoppers received a tip this morning on the identity of the suspect in the AutoZone robbery that occurred at 905 Shurling Drive last night. The United States Marshal’s Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office arrested Marquis Dontrell Sanford of Macon at a relatives home in the 3000 block of Pionono Avenue, without incident at around 2:45p.m. this afternoon. Sanford was charged with 2 counts of Armed Robbery (1 count) for the store (2nd count) for a customer in the store) and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was transported the Bibb County Enforcement Complex. No bond has been set.
