The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest in reference to the Armed Robbery of the Waffle House Restaurant located, at 4731 Chambers Rd. The incident occurred just before 5:00AM. Friday morning. It was reported that three black male suspects entered the store and demanded money from the clerk. The suspects were brandishing handguns. After taking an undisclosed amount of money, they fled on foot, behind the building towards Harrison Rd. No one was injured in the incident.
The three suspects involved in the armed robbery were taken into custody at a nearby hotel. All three suspects are juveniles, two, 16 year old males and one, 15 year old male.
One juvenile was found by deputies, hiding under a vehicle in the parking lot of the hotel for over two hours.
Both 16 year old males were charged with Armed Robbery, Possession of a firearm by a person under 18years of age.
The 15 year old was charged with Armed Robbery, Possession of a firearm by a person under 18years of age. He also has additional charges of armed robbery, Possession of a firearm by a person under 18years of age and Aggravated Assault. These charges are from an incident that occurred on September 20, 2018 on Mumford road. The juvenile robbed and shot at a Papa John’s delivery driver.
All three juveniles had their first appearance in court today. They all were transported to the RYDC where they are being held on charges.
