The Bibb County Sheriff’s Gang Unit and US Marshals Southeastern Regional Fugitive Task Force made an arrest on Wednesday afternoon, July 27, 2016 in connection with the recent shooting of 19 year old Harold Johnson.  Johnson was found shot on June 12, 2016 at the Westminster Apartments, located at 1655 North Atwood Drive. When deputies from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office arrived they found Johnson lying outside in the apartment complex with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He was transported to the Navicent Health Hospital and treated for the gunshot wound.

Brian Christopher Horton, 21 years old, from Macon was arrested at the Sandy Springs Apartments, located at 3044 Bloomfield Drive at around 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday. He was arrested without incident. During the investigation it was discovered that Horton was the person that shot Johnson.  Horton was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center and booked on the charge of aggravated assault. He has a bond set at $11,200.00 and is currently still in the Bibb LEC.  The arrest came after an anonymous Crime Stoppers tip.  The incident remains under investigation.
