Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 64 year old Benny Rhodes in reference to an Aggravated Assault incident that occurred in the kitchen of the Salvation Army at 1955 Broadway just before 5:30a.m. Saturday morning. It was reported that Rhodes was arguing with 52yr old Joseph Quenga about his breakfast when Rhodes picked up a pot and struck Quenga. Rhodes and Quenga began struggling and that is when Rhodes grabbed a knife and stabbed Quenga in the left forearm. Deputies arrived and Rhodes was taken into custody without incident. No one else was injured in the incident. Quenga was taken to the Navicent Health Medical Center and is listed in stable condition at this time. Rhodes is being charged with aggravated assault.
