Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested 26-year-old Sterling Gerard Holmes Jr., in connection with an Aggravated Assault that occurred in the 3300 block of North Ingle Place just before 7:30p.m. Sunday.
It was reported that 26-year-old Jeremy Warren and 25-year-old Ashley Williams arrived at Holmes’ address, so Williams could pick up her child that she shares with Holmes. During the exchange of the child, Holmes became angry when he realized Warren was in the vehicle with Williams.
Holmes then confronted Warren and fired shots that struck him. Warren was transported to the hospital by ambulance for treatment of his injuries. No one else was injured.
Holmes was taken into custody without incident at the scene. He was transported to BCSO Criminal Investigations to be interviewed in reference to the charges. After the interview Holmes was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center and charged with Aggravated Assault. He is being held without bond.
Warren is listed in stable condition.
