Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators charged a suspect and obtained arrest warrants on a second suspect involved in an east Macon shooting incident that occurred Friday night.
It was reported that Lawanda Curry and Ronald Glover were standing in a yard talking when suspects pulled up in a red S.U.V.
Shots were fired from the S.U.V., striking Lawanda Curry in the abdominal area. The S.U.V. fled the scene. Lawanda Curry was transported to the hospital. Lawanda Curry is listed in critical, but stable condition.
Investigators identified the suspects involved with the shooting incident and the Sheriff’s Response Team, (S.R.T.), located one of the suspects, 29-year-old Tavarius Marques Flowers of Macon.
Flowers was taken into custody and transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center and is being held, without bond for the charge of Aggravated Assault.
Investigators obtained arrest warrants for Davarius Antonio Curry in connection with this investigation. *A photograph of Davarius Antonio Curry is attached to this media release.
Investigators are also asking for the public’s assistance in locating Shunliyah Curry, wanted for questioning in reference to this incident.
It was reported that Davarius Antonio Curry and Shunliyah Curry are related to the victim, Lawanda Curry.

Person Shot in east Macon
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident that occurred at around 10:37p.m. , Friday night. The incident was reported to have happened in the 900 block of Sunnydale Ave.
It was reported that a female was walking down Sunnydale Drive with another person when she was shot in the abdomen area. The incident is in its early stages of the investigation. Additional information will be released as soon as it becomes available.
The victim, Lawanda Curry, 35-years of age, from Macon, was transported to the Navicent hospital and is listed to be in critical condition.
