Just after 10:00 a.m. on July 16, 2019, the suspect in the Armed Robbery and Aggravated Assault that happened on Finsbury Road on June 10, 2019, turned himself over to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigators.
18-year-old Aaron Alexander Chambliss was taken into custody and transported to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Armed Robbery, Robbery by Snatching and Aggravated Assault. He is being held without bond at this time.
The Robbery by Snatching was from a case that happened on June 7, 2019, where Chambliss met another victim to sale an iPhone and snatched the money from them and ran off.

Asking for the Public’s Assistance Locating Armed Robbery Suspect
Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in helping to locate a male suspect, wanted for Armed Robbery and Aggravated Assault in a case that happened on June 10, 2019.
It was reported that 18-year-old Jaylan Dumas, of Macon, had made contact with a male suspect that was selling an I-phone X on Facebook Market Place. Dumas meet with the suspect in front of a residence in the 5400 block of Finsbury Road. When Dumas exchanged the money for the phone he realized that it was an older LG phone, not an I-phone. The suspect then started running away and when Dumas began chasing him the suspect fired multiple shots at him with a pistol.
The suspect was later identified as 18-year-old Aaron Alexander Chambliss, of Macon. He is described as being six foot tall, weighing approximately one hundred sixty-five pounds. He has short hair and a mustache and light complexion. He is known to frequent the Bloomfield Road and Rocky Creek Road area. Warrants for Armed Robbery, Aggravated Assault and Violation of Probation have been signed for Chambliss’ arrest.
