Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators along with the US Marshals Southeastern Regional Fugitive Task Force made an arrest Tuesday afternoon in the personal armed robberies that occurred Saturday, July 15, 2017 in the parking lots of the Walmart at 5955 Zebulon Road, Kroger Shopping Center at 4321 Hartley Bridge Road, and business armed robbery of the Advanced Auto Parts Store at 3385 Pio Nono Avenue.

The suspect, identified as 32 year old Antonio DeWayne Ivey Sr. of Macon was arrested at an address on West Marion Road at around 4:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. Ivey was found hiding in a bedroom when arrested. He was transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigative Division for questioning. After being questioned he was taken to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center and booked on 3 counts of Armed Robbery and a Probation Violation.

Asking for Public’s Assistance in Identifying Armed Robbery Suspect

The Bibb Sheriff’s Office is investigating an Armed Robbery that happened in the parking lot of the Walmart at 5955 Zebulon Rd at 03:30pm. It was reported that 40yr old Laquesta Mitchell of Macon was at her car when a black male approached her. The suspect had a handgun and demanded money from Mitchell. After getting an undisclosed amount of money from Mitchell the suspect left in a red four door vehicle. No one was injured in the incident.

The same suspect is also wanted in reference to another Armed Robbery that happened at 07:30pm in the parking lot of the Kroger Shopping Center at 4321 Hartley Bridge Rd. The suspect approached 27yr old Angelique Shepard of Newark Delaware while she was walking to her car. The suspect pulled up beside her and points a handgun towards her and demanded her purse. After getting the purse the suspect drove off in a red car. No one was injured in this incident either.

The suspect was described by both victims as being above six feet tall, over three hundred pounds, wearing a white t-shirt and blue jean shorts. He also had a beard and a small afro. Pictures of the suspect from the Walmart incident are attached.

 Commercial Armed Robbery Of Advance Auto

The Bibb Sheriff’s Office is investigating an Armed Robbery of the Advance Auto at 3385 Pio Nono Ave just after 08:00pm. It was reported that a black male suspect entered the store and demanded money from the Clerk. The suspect was brandishing a handgun and after getting an undisclosed amount of money fled the store. The suspect is believed to be the same suspect that committed the armed robberies at the Walmart and Kroger earlier today. No one was injured in the incident.

The suspect was described by all victims as being above six feet tall, over three hundred pounds, wearing a white t-shirt and blue jean shorts. He also had a beard and a small afro. Pictures of the suspect from the Walmart incident are attached.
