Bibb County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies arrested a Macon man at 11:42 p.m., on August 13, 2020, for the Armed Robbery of the Family Dollar at 3567 Houston Avenue on August 12, 2020.

Deputies were checking the area of 3871 Northside Drive, Carriage Hills Apartments when they witnessed a Silver Honda Accord pull into the complex. Deputies were able to identify, 33-year-old Jarvis Renaldo Flowers, as the passenger in the vehicle. Deputies detained Flowers without incident.

Flowers was transported to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Armed Robbery. He is being held without bond at this time.

Commercial Robbery at Family Dollar

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a robbery at the Family Dollar, located at 3567 Houston Avenue. The robbery occurred at 8:32 p.m.

Witnesses reported a male subject entered the store brandishing a firearm. He demanded money from the clerk. The suspect then fled on foot, after receiving an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured during the incident.

The suspect is described between five foot, ten inches and six feet tall, with a stocky build. Pictures of the suspect are attached to the media release.
