The Bibb Sheriff’s Office is investigating an Armed Robbery incident that was reported to have occurred in 2100 block of Monroe Avenue just before 10:00p.m. Friday evening. It was reported that 60yr old Alvin Oliver of Macon was walking on Monroe Ave. when he was approached by a black male. The suspect demanded Oliver give up his wallet. During the incident the suspect shot Oliver once in the left thigh. Oliver was taken to the Navicent Hospital and is listed in stable condition at this time.
The suspect is described a black male, approximately five foot eight inches tall, around 120lbs. He was wearing jeans a mask and a red shirt.
