The Bibb Sheriff’s Office is asking for the motorists who are traveling in north Bibb County to be aware of the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life event which will take place this Friday evening at around 6:00p.m. The event should last through Saturday morning. The Relay for Life will be held at the Christ Chapel Church, just off of Bass Road, near Interstate 75.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to keep in mind that this is a heavily travelled area and that traffic delays are expected.
Motorist can avoid traffic delays by getting off of Interstate 75 onto the Riverside Drive exit. Make a right turn onto Riverside Drive and travel east towards New Forsyth Road. Make a left turn onto New Forsyth Road. This route should take you to Bass Road so that you are avoiding the extra traffic that may be in that area.
