The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an aggravated assault that took place around 12:26a.m., at the Young’s Grocery, located at 2760 Montpelier Avenue. It was reported that Michael Hardy, age 19 from Macon, was walking out of the store when suspect(s) fired shots from across the street. Several bullets hit the front of the store, one bullet struck Hardy in the right hip area. After the shooting took place, the suspect(s) fled in an unknown direction.
Hardy was transported to a local hospital where he is listed to be in stable condition. No one else was injured during this incident.
