The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an aggravated assault, involving two people that took place in the 1900 block of Lawton Avenue at around 9:55p.m. Friday night. It was reported that 18 year old Ladarius Washington was shot in the back of the left leg and 17 year old Kenyatta Jones was shot in the stomach area. Both men were transported to a local hospital where they are listed by medical staff to be in stable condition.
Investigators are interviewing possible witnesses and processing evidence in an attempt to identify those involved and to help determine the events that led to the shooting incident. Additional information will be released as soon as it becomes available.
