The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an aggravated assault that took place in the 3300 block of Sherry Drive. The incident was called into the Macon-Bibb County 911 Center just before 11:00 a.m.
It was reported that a juvenile female approached an apartment and asked for the female juvenile that lives at the residence. Once inside the apartment both females begin to fight. The adult present in the apartment, helped the juvenile victim push the juvenile suspect out of the apartment.
The juvenile female then shouted to several males standing outside the apartment to shoot. A male suspect fired several shots towards the residence. The 13-year-old female victim that lives at the apartment was struck in the back during the shooting.
When deputies arrived at the location, the suspects had already left the scene. The 13-year-old victim was transported to the hospital by ambulance. The female victim is listed to be in stable, but critical condition.
This incident is under investigation. Additional information will be released as soon as it becomes available.
