The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an Aggravated Assault incident that occurred at MAV at North Macon located at 5578 Riverside Drive, just after 2:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
On October 3, 2023, Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a distress call reporting shots fired in the area at 2:17 p.m. When deputies arrived on the scene, they discovered a twenty-one-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. Paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to Atrium Health Navicent for medical treatment. According to Medical Staff, he is listed in critical but stable condition. No one else was reported injured.
Investigators are on the scene working to determine what led up to the incident. The information provided is preliminary and could change as the investigation progresses.
