The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an Aggravated Assault incident that occurred within the 2100 block of Liberty Church Road, just before 1:00 p.m. Monday afternoon.
On October 23, 2023, Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a distress call reporting a person shot in the area. When Deputies arrived on the scene, they discovered a sixty-eight-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics responded to the scene to provide medical treatment before transporting the male to a medical facility. Moments later, Investigators responded to the 6500 block of Bevin Drive regarding a report of another person shot. When Investigators arrived, they discovered a seventy-one-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics responded to the scene to provide medical treatment before transporting the male to a medical facility. No one else was reported injured.
According to the Medical Staff, both men are in stable condition.
Investigators are working to determine what led up to the incident. The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.
