The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an Aggravated Assault incident that was reported to have occurred in the 800 block of Lackey Drive, just before 8:00 p.m. Wednesday.
On July 19, 2023, Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a distress call reporting shots fired in the area at 7:55 p.m. At 8:00 p.m., deputies arrived on the scene and discovered a thirty-five-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. Paramedics responded to the scene and transported the wounded male to Atrium Health Navicent for medical treatment. He is listed in critical condition. No one else was injured.
Investigators are on the scene working to determine what led up to the incident. The information provided is preliminary and could change as the investigation progresses.
