The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an Aggravated Assault incident that occurred inside the 500 block of Ell Street, just before 7:00pm Monday.
At 6:52 p.m., a call came into the E-911 Dispatch Center reporting shots fired on Ell Street. Deputies arrived on scene and discovered a thirty-nine-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics responded to the scene and transported the wounded male to Atrium Health Navicent for medical treatment. He is listed in critical condition. No one else was injured during this incident.
Investigators are working to determine what led up to the incident.
