The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of an aggravated assault that took place in front of the Hummingbird Stage and Taproom, located at 430 Cherry Street. The incident was called into the Macon-Bibb E-911 Center at around 12:38 pm on Sunday.
It was reported that a physical altercation took place between individuals outside of this location. During the altercation, the individuals exchanged gunfire. Both individuals fled the area before law enforcement arrived. During the exchange of gunfire, a male victim was struck in the leg. He was transported to the hospital by ambulance and is currently listed in stable condition.
